Prepare for Orientation
Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of South Florida! By now, you should have activated your USF NetID, watched our video module and registered for Orientation.
Remember, your offer of admission is provisional pending successful completion of all coursework in progress or listed on your application, including dual enrollment courses, at a level consistent with your previous academic history and USF’s admissions criteria. Failure to meet this provision can result in academic probation or the rescission of your offer of admission. If you are concerned you may not meet the provisions of your offer, you should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 813.974.3350 and speak with your admissions counselor.
Here are a few things you should do before orientation:
Pay Admissions Deposit by May 1. Freshmen are required to pay a non-refundable $200 deposit to secure their place at USF. The deposit will be applied towards your first semester’s tuition and fees and may be paid on OASIS. If the deposit is not paid by the deadline, your offer of admission may be cancelled along with any scholarship offers.
Apply for Housing and Purchase Meal Plan
First-Year undergraduate students are required to live on campus and purchase a meal plan for their first year at USF. Explore your housing options and secure your space at housing.usf.edu. Applications are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis so do not delay! You will be required to submit a separate application fee and pre-payment. Meal plan information can be found at usfdining.com.
Submit all Immunization and Medical History Forms
USF requires every student accepted for admission, prior to registration to submit a signed Immunization Medical History Form. All students must submit the following immunization documentation: Measles, Rubella, Hepatitis B or waiver, and Meningitis or waiver. The Meningitis waiver option applies only to those students living off campus. Students can check the status of their submitted records or to obtain a copy of their previously submitted records by visiting OASIS.
Submit final transcripts and test scores
All freshmen must submit a final transcript noting the date of their high school graduation within two weeks of graduation. If you have dual enrollment, you must also provide an official college transcript from the institution offering the courses regardless of whether the coursework is on your high school transcript. Failure to do so will result in your admission offer being rescinded. Transcripts, whenever possible, should be submitted electronically. Otherwise, you may submit a paper copy in a sealed envelope. Test scores -- ACT, SAT and those from any exam possibly resulting in college credit (AP, IB) -- should be sent to USF electronically as soon as they are available.
