Advising Terms

Major: Your main field of specialization during your pursuit of a bachelor’s degree

Minor: Your secondary field of study or specialization during your pursuit of a bachelor’s degree

Degree Audit: A computer-generated analysis to assess your academic progress and unfilled degree requirements

OASIS: USF’s Online Access Student Information System. This is where you view financial aid information, update your personal contact information, register for classes and pay tuition.

Registration Holds
There are a variety of reasons why a hold will be put on your record, which will prevent you from registering for classes or even graduating. Some of these holds can include: unpaid campus parking tickets, unpaid tuition and fees, academic probation and failure to meet the CAS College Level Academic Skills requirement.
