The College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) Facilities, Safety and Security Office
serves as a liaison between the College's 28 academic departments (comprising approximately
700 faculty and staff housed within 15 buildings) and the other university colleges
and non-academic units. As implied in the title, this office coordinates all things
facility-related: building maintenance, building minor projects, space-related issues,
individual and departmental moves, property inventory, and safety and security of
departmental faculty and staff. This office also works directly with the Division
of Environmental Health & Safety and with the Division of Research Compliance
& Integrity to maintain safety in the research and teaching laboratories.
This web site provides the University of South Florida's College of Arts & Sciences
Researchers, Instructors, Students and Staff with the necessary guidelines, information,
and forms in regards to space allocation, renovations, repairs, building and room
access, teaching laboratory safety, field safety, and research laboratory safety.
The office is staffed by two Facility Managers that report directly to the Dean,
and are responsible for space allocation decisions for departments in the college.
