Introduction
The Integrated Interdisciplinary Nanoscience REU will not be held this Summer, 2006.
The REU program was held the past three years (2003-2005). During this ten-week REU program,
undergraduate students were exposed to state-of-the-art materials science/nanotechnolgy research in
an interdisciplinary environment. The program was housed in the Department of Chemistry and consists
of faculty mentors from the Departments of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering and Physics. Students received housing, meals, travel costs and a stipend.
