The MA/PhD program in the Department of Theatre and Film at Bowling Green State University provides an interdisciplinary program within a Theatre and Film department setting. Our department houses a robust production program where graduate students are able to engage in all aspects of performance practice. Beyond the Performance Studies courses offered within the department, students are encouraged to build their programs from coursework within a variety of complementary disciplines including Communication Studies, American Culture Studies, Popular Culture, and Ethnomusicology. Additionally, graduate teaching associates are given the opportunity to teach sections of our basic undergraduate Performance Studies course which services over 500 undergraduate students each year.
