Issue 3

This issue's focus is on our newly acquired software program ExamView® Pro. As you probably already know, this program has been installed on your office computers and is available under Start > Programs>ExamView® Pro. ExamView® Pro is an application that allows teachers to create various tests (printed, Internet, or computer-based tests) quickly and efficiently. ExamView Pro is an upgrade of ExamView and includes special features such as spell checker, online testing/study guides and an equation editor (McGraw Hill Technical Support). Based on a short review of this software, I would highly recommended a short workshop where we can all sit down and work on developing our first test. I estimate appr. 60-120 minutes (depending on the type of test) will be needed to fully develop the initial test; HOWEVER if you are an avid test maker, this software can SAVE you 6-12 HOURS PER WEEK!! PLUS, we could create a bank of tests to assist in future reference and uses. To learn more about ExamView®Pro I have put together a web PowerPoint presentation in the format of the Jeopardy® Game. Click anywhere on the screen to reveal the answer. To get back to the score card, click on the arrow on the bottom right hand corner of the presentation. You may also use this Jeopardy® Game as a template (for vocabulary review, etc.) in your class. Save this PowerPoint to your hard drive and change the question and answers. In the notes section of the PowerPoint presentation, I listed the corresponding question and dollar amount for each slide. If you need any help, just email me or stop by the office.
