Step 2: Registration

Fill out the registration form and submit it.

Suggestion: Register every time you created a new chat. Otherwise all your chats will be clumped on one page and your students might be confused to which chat/group to go.

You can use the class topic as a user name. Keep in mind – the user name is case sensitive, HAS TO be one word. And can be a combination of characters and numbers.

Step 3: Create your chat Fill out the “Create New Chat” from to specify the characteristics of your chat.
Step 4: It’s ready! · Now your chat room is ready. It can be visited by clicking the “Chat List” button from the Home Page. · The students need to enter the user name you assigned to the chat and they will be able to join the chat room.
Step 5: The Chat Room After the students “arrive” to the chat classroom, they may go to the group you assigned to them by clicking on the corresponding “Join this session” arrow.
Step 6: Join the Chat The chat participants need to enter their real name and chat name in order to start chatting.
Step 7: View Results – student view The students can view results of their chat. From the same page, they can also access the text of the whole CMC log (use the “View this session” button).
Step 8: View Results – Teacher View From this page the teacher can: Download the chat log Access list of participants in each chat group Access statistics about each participants’ language production during the chat.
