M.A. GEOGRAPHY

The Master's of Arts degree in Geography is one of the graduate degrees that the department offers. We serve the needs of a growing urban population in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the southeastern United States. As such, its research focus, although varied, is centered on urban processes, both physical and human.

Course offerings emphasize economic, social, and planning issues in the urban environment, natural/technological hazards and environmental justices, geographic information systems and spatial analysis.
