GEOGRAPHY CLUB

The Geography Club is open to all interested students of the University, regardless of grade point average or major. The club is mainly run by undergraduate students, and they have a wide range of activities, including beach and river clean-ups, canoe and bicycle tours, and camping trips. GAMMA THETA UPSILON (GTU)

The Kappa Kappa Chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU) is open to all students that meet the folowing criteria:

• Both an overall GPA of 3.0 or better, and a USF GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Has completed at 16 credit hours in geography classes with a 3.25 grade point average or better in the classes.
• No D or F grades in geography classes, unless removed by grade forgiveness.

A major or minor in geography is not required. No letters of recommendation are required for applying to GTU. For more information, please contact Dr. Mark Hafen.

Benefits and Privileges of GTU Membership include:

*Eligibility for scholarships at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

*Subscription to The Geographical Bulletin, a professional journal.

*Eligibility for publication of research in The Geographical Bulletin.

STUDENT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSOCIATION (SEA)

SEA is an active student organization at the University of South Florida in Tampa. We engage in volunteer activities, educate the community about the environment, and work towards making USF more environmentally-friendly. KARST RESEARCH GROUP

The Karst Research Group consists of an interdisciplinary set of faculty and students working on a range of karst studies. Specific areas of interest include carbonate platforms, numerical modeling, geomorphology, paleoclimate, and GIS.
