  • Air pollution
  • Environmental justice
  • Environmental health
  • Information technology and society
  • Quantitative methods
  • Urban Transportation

My scholarship in geography focuses on the interactions between technology, society, and the environment, with an emphasis on racial/ethnic and social inequities. Most of my published research has revolved around two major themes: (a) disproportionate exposure to environmental pollution and related health risks, and (b) disparities in the use of/access to information and communication technologies.

My research activities are primarily concerned with addressing contemporary issues that are socially relevant, developing interesting questions informed by theory, and investigating them from an empirical/quantitative perspective. I use geographic information systems (GIS) technology and statistics as tools in my research.
