RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Jennifer Collins is Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of South Florida. Her research focuses on tropical climatology, particularly hurricane activity. She is currently studying the environmental factors influencing the interannual variation of hurricane numbers in the Northeast Pacific and she is examining the anti-correlation between hurricane numbers in the Atlantic versus those in part of the Northeast Pacific ocean basin. Jennifer is an active member of the West Central Florida American Meteorological Society, and she is also a member of the Association of American Geographers and Florida Society of Geographers.
