RESEARCH INTERESTS My research focuses on two areas at the intersection of geographical information science, quantitative geography, and ecology: (1) Spatial analysis and modelling with statistical and mathematical approaches (e.g. GIS-based network analysis; density estimation; location analysis; habitat suitability modeling) and (2) Measurements of fish and wildlife space-use patterns (e.g. home range analysis; carrying capacity estimation). Much of my research seeks to quantify how animals occupy and utilize space at different scales.
