The department has two
student organizations. The first of these, the Geography
Club, is open to all interested students of
the University, regardless of grade point average or
major. The club is mainly run by undergraduate students,
and they have a wide range of activities, including beach
and river clean-ups, canoe and bicycle tours, and camping
trips. For more information, please contact Dr. Jennifer Collins.
The other organization,
the Kappa Kappa Chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon
(GTU), is open to all students with 12 credit
hours in geography classes and a 3.0 grade point average
or better in geography classes. A major or minor in geography
is not required. No letters of recommendation are required
