Biology Club

Chemistry Society at USF

  • Purpose: The Chemistry Society was created to allow students to become better acquainted, and to ensure intellectual stimulation that arises from a professional organization. Our hope is to provide opportunities that will enhance the learning experience for undergraduates while also helping to improve the community, school, and organization.

Christian Pre-Medical Students Association

  • Purpose: The purpose is to provide an approach to getting pre-healthcare education that is based in Christian morals, ethics, and ways of life. The organizations purpose is to provide a medium for Everyone, not just Christians, who want to learn about medical ethics, morals, and more through seminars, lectures from pastors/physicians, personalized volunteering and shadowing (ex. Peace Corps), tutoring/study sessions, and planned mission trips to deliver medical services and supplies to areas of need, and much more! Come check us out, it will be worth your time.

COM Medical Ethics Interest Group

  • Purpose: The purpose is to promote discussion and awareness of medical ethics issues for current USF COM students.

 Dermatology Interest Group

  • Purpose: The purpose of the Dermatology Interest Group is to give students at USF the chance to explore the field of dermatology. We will provide students the opportunity to ask current physicians questions and properly prepare for their residency of interest. We will also allow the opportunity to socialize and meet with others who have the same interest and become involved with philanthropic events related to the field of dermatology. The Dermatology Interest Group will also coordinate community outreach and teaching opportunities at local schools and community centers through the USF Health Service Corps. Members of the organization will also have the opportunity to gain clinical knowledge related to the field of dermatology and to improve their skills related to dermatologic surgery.

Family Medicine Interest Group

  • Purpose: Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) is designed to increase medical student exposure to the field of Family Medicine, through brown bag lunches, a welcoming event/party with local doctors, national and local conference trips, community service projects, and an annual end-of-the year banquet.

  • Purpose: The purpose of FPTO is to help prepare undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy.

  • Purpose: The purpose of the Medical Ethics society is to provide excellence in education of biomedical ethics, to provide ample case studies to induce excellence in collegiate discussion and offer external events that provide the framework to illustrate the application of biomedical ethics

Minority Pre-Professional Science Society (MPSS)

  • Purpose: To promote minority student interest in careers in the health professions and the natural sciences. Provide a support network to enable students to be academically successful.

  • Purpose: The purpose is to establish the first neurosurgery-specific interest group as well as the first surgical subspecialty group at the University of South Florida College of Medicine; to keep members abreast of current research in neurosurgery, and to facilitate involvement with neurosurgery-related events and opportunities.

University Emergency Medical Services Association (USF-UEMSA)

  • Our organization is specifically geared towards students who aspire for a career in healthcare. i.e. EMT, paramedic, physician, nurse etc. UEMSA provides educational lectures, EMS certification, and practical experience in emergency medicine. These programs may assist you in developing your skills and adding a unique, competitive, component to your application regardless of your future ambitions.
