Here are links to help USF SLIS distance learning students get started!
- Registration for courses: To register for Library & Information Science courses, including web-based, blended (combo web/face-to-face), or offsite go to OASIS at http://usfonline.admin.usf.edu/ and choose OASIS Login. You must be a USF degree seeking or non-degree seeking to access OASIS with your login.
- Current SLIS course schedule is available through OASIS at http://usfonline.admin.usf.edu/
- NETID: All USF School of Library & Information Science students MUST obtain a USF NETID to access web courses and get program communications and information. Go to http://www.acomp.usf.edu/help/netid/una.html for more information.
- Getting to your SLIS web class: Unless otherwise indicated by your instructor, your SLIS web class can be accessed through the MyUSF web portal. You must have a USF NetID to access your web course. See above for information on getting a USF Net ID. You can login to your web class through the MyUSF Web Portal at https://my.usf.edu.
- For problems with Blackboard, your USF e-mail account, or other computer technologies see the Academic Computing hompepage at: http://www.acomp.usf.edu/
- Prerequisite/Corequisite courses: Some courses have prerequisite courses (such as LIS 6271, LIS6511, and others). Go to http://www.cas.usf.edu/lis/gen/courses.html for course descriptions and prerequisites. If you do not meet the course requirements detailed for each course, you may not be allowed to register or you may be dropped from the course before the semester.
- E-mail: An active E-mail account is required for all Library & Information Science distance learning students before registering. When activating your NetID, a free USF official e-mail address will be available to you. You MUST use your USF official e-mail address or forward it to an address you check frequently. Go to http://una.acomp.usf.edu
- Distance Student Health Holds: Health Services Holds and Immunization and Medical History information at http://shsweb.shs.usf.edu/RegMedReqs.html.
