CAS professor wins mentoring award[07.01.2013]
TAMPA, Fla. – Distinguished University Professor Paul Spector, from the University of South Florida’s psychology department has won the Thomas A. Mohoney Mentoring Award from the Academy of Management, an independent organization devoted to education in business management. The award is given to those who have demonstrated their commitment to working with Ph.D. students.
The criteria for the award are as follows: “A clear record of extensive work with Ph.D. students, especially as dissertation chair,” “the impact of the nominee’s Ph.D. students upon the science, teaching and practice of human resource management” and “25 plus years post-graduate school.”
Spector, the Industrial/Organizational Program director, also will be honored at the HR Division Awards Ceremony and receive a plaque along with a $500 honorarium.
