CAS professor appointed to National Research Council Committee[07.23.2013]
TAMPA Fla. -- A University of South Florida professor has been appointed to the National Academy of Sciences’ National Research Council Committee on Coastal Risk Reduction.
Susan Bell, a professor from the Department of Integrative Biology, will serve on the Committee as an adviser to the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers on a range of scientific, engineering and water resource planning issues concerning water resource, waterway and coastal management. The focus of the Committee for 2013-2014 will be to address coastal flooding, storm surges and beach erosion.
