USF Professor receives DOE grant

TAMPA, Fla. -- University of South Florida Associate Professor Marc Karver has been granted $306,000 from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. This 3-year award is for his research entitled, “The University of South Florida Collaborative Suicide Prevention Project.”

Karver’s research interests focus on the evaluation and improvement of the quality of mental health services and focuses on the three areas that define quality services: structure, measurement of treatment processes and outcomes.
