Student organization renamed in honor of USF alumnus[10.10.2013]
TAMPA, Fla. -- The ICMA Student Chapter, housed within the University of South Florida's School of Public Affairs and the first ICMA Student Chapter established in the State of Florida, is pleased to announce that its student chapter has been renamed as the Robert R. Green ICMA Student Chapter at the University of South Florida in honor of Robert “Bobby” Green's dedication to the advancement of students' awareness of the value of public service and benefits of pursing careers in local government.
"Bobby Green exemplifies the type of dedication to public service that we want in our MPA alumni; I believe no one is more deserving of this honor than is Bobby Green,” said John Daly, director of the USF School of Public Affairs. “He is an excellent role model for us all, whether as a fellow city manager, public-minded citizen, academic or student as present or future public servant.”
