TAMPA, Fla. -- USF’s Creative Writing Program is thrilled to announce that Saw Palm: Florida Literature and Art took home the Reader’s Choice award for Best Local Literary Journal at Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay award celebration. This is Saw Palm’s third consecutive win in this category.
Saw Palm is a Florida-themed literary journal based in Tampa and operates out the M.F.A. program at the University of South Florida. Each year, second-year M.F.A. students and undergraduate interns edit the literary journal, provide comments and curate the work under the advisory editor, Professor John Fleming. This year, Saw Palm celebrates its 10th year with a special issue on the Florida-Cuba connection.
