Annual grad cap contest underway[04.26.2016]
TAMPA, Fla. -- The University of South Florida College of Arts and Sciences is sponsoring its traditional Grad Cap Contest on its social media platforms. Graduates must upload photos of their decorated caps to Instagram or Twitter by 11:59 p.m. on May 10 to be eligible for the contest.
The College of Arts and Sciences wants to see the creativity and school pride of all USF Bulls graduating on May 6 and 7. All submissions will be equally considered and prizes will be awarded to the top five caps.
To enter the contest, graduates must follow @USFCollege on Instagram or Twitter. Instagram users can upload a picture of their decorated cap and tag the college @USFCollege with #USFGRAD. For Twitter, students must tweet a photo of their decorated cap to @USFCollege with #USFGRAD.
Five superlatives will be awarded to the most creative graduation caps. These award categories will include the grand prize winner, most spirited cap, best quote cap, funniest cap and most heartwarming cap. The winners will receive a variety of prizes, featuring a Rocky bobblehead, USF garden gnome, posters and manyother USF spirit items.
Ten finalists will be chosen for the grand prize category and the winner will be selectedthrough fan voting on the College of Arts and Sciences Facebook page. Fan voting for the grand prize winner will close on May 15.
The grad cap winners for all categories will be announced on the USF College of Arts andSciences Facebook and Instagram pages by May 16.
