English instructor receives CCCC outstanding dissertation award in technical communication[07.06.2016]
TAMPA, Fla. -- Erin Trauth, Ph.D. assistant director of First-Year Composition, received the Conference on College Composition and Communication Outstanding Dissertation Award in Technical Communication for her dissertation, “A ‘Natural’ Miscommunication: An Examination of Front-of-Package Label Claims and User-Centered Food Labeling Practices.”
Trauth’s dissertation received this award for “originality of research, contribution research makes to the field, methodological soundness of the approach used, awareness of the existing research in the area studied and overall quality of the writing.” Trauth’s award was announced at the CCCC 2016 conference in Houston on April 8.
