USF Botanical Gardens to host Fall Plant Festival
TAMPA, Fla. -- The University of South Florida Botanical Gardens is hosting the annual Fall Plant Festival from Saturday, Oct. 8 to Sunday, Oct. 9.
This annual event features the largest fall plant sale in the Bay Area with more than 50 vendors and a scarecrow contest.
At 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 there will be a vegetable garden workshop. A variety of assorted plants will be available including crotons, aroids, orchids, fruit trees, herbs and native or carnivorous plants. At this time there also will be music and prize drawings.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. General Admission ticket prices are $5. The event is free to USF Botanical Gardens members and children under 12.
