CAS Dean's Office seeking interns for Spring 2013
TAMPA, Fla. -- Do you love being behind a camera? Would you consider yourself a social media whiz? Do you love to write? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should apply for the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office Internship Program. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Nov. 30 to CPR 107.
Students have the opportunity to intern in one of five different areas including: public relations and marketing, news and feature writing, broadcast/video production, photography and social media.
This internship is a great way to get your foot in the door for real job opportunities and a chance to take away knowledge that will help you with your future endeavors.
Ella Farnsworth, a mass communications/advertising junior, has been a public relations/marketing intern for two semesters said, “it’s by far the best experience I’ve had at USF.”
“I love the people I work with and work for; the atmosphere is great,” she said. “I learn something new every day and am so grateful for it. All of the tools I’ve gotten thus far have helped me tremendously in my schoolwork.”
Michele Dye, the communications and marketing director for CAS, is constantly teaching the interns new skills that will help them succeed in the future. There are guest speakers, workshops and seminars to keep the interns on their toes and always soaking up important information.
Throughout the semester all of the CAS interns have been blogging about their experiences. To get a real glimpse into what they do, please take a look at the Dean's Office Interns' Blog.
If you missed the information session last week, you can get more information from the interns' Prezi below.
