CAS professor elected president of SSSI
TAMPA, Fla. -- The Society for the Study of Symbolic Interaction has elected Maggie Kusenbach, Ph.D. to be their new president.
Kusenbach is an associate professor who works in the Department of Sociology at the University of South Florida. Once her term begins in August 2014, Kusenbach will have achieved the rare honor of presiding over an office held by other noteworthy USF professors such Doni Loseke, Ph.D.; Carolyn Ellis, Ph.D. and assistant professor Mike Flaherty, Ph.D. to name a few.
SSSI is an international organization of scholars who study social issues with an emphasis on identity, everyday practice and language.
