USF Botanical Gardens to host annual Bromeliad BASH[07.24.2013]
TAMPA, Fla. -- The University of South Florida’ Botanical Gardens Plant Shop will host Bromeliad BASH from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2013 at the garden’s plant shop.
Bromeliad BASH is a free day at the Botanical Gardens and a great time to tour the Bromeliad gardens. Bromeliad experts will be there to answer questions and make suggestions on planting locations and designs. The plant shop will feature many different types of bromeliads from the common to the extraordinary for sale.
The Botanical Gardens is a non-profit, member-sponsored, educational facility. The USF Botanical Gardens is open to the public seven days a week except during major holidays. The gardens is located on the southwest corner of the Tampa campus, at Pine and Alumni Drives, off of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, just one block north of Fowler Avenue (12210 USF Pine Dr. Tampa, 33620).
The mission of the Botanical Gardens is to foster appreciation, understanding and stewardship of our natural and cultural botanical heritage through living plant collections, displays, education and research.
